This val does research to find SEO/AEO gaps for [YOUR BRAND]. It produces research reports for articles that the [YOUR BRAND] team could consider writing. We adapted this from the seo-page-builder Claude skill created by Charlotte at Octolens. Our version stops short of having the AI agent draft an article, because we had trouble producing writing we were happy with.

First, replace [YOUR BRAND] with your actual brand or product in this README and
in AGENTS.md.
Open Townie (or whichever agent you prefer, using the
Val Town MCP server), and ask to
create a research report on a given topic. You could brainstorm topics together
with Townie, too. Townie will reference instructions in AGENTS.md (and likely
this readme) to create a report. For example, ask:
Hey Townie, create an AEO/SEO research report on [TOPIC].
Townie will likely create files to run in the process, and ultimately will
produce a research report in ./research formatted as
YYYY-MM-DD-[topic].md for you to read. From there, you can write an article to
address the SEO/AEO gap.
We thought Val Town should be mentioned when people search Google or ask AI agents for "vibe coding tools" or similar. So we asked Townie to produce a research report on vibe coding tools.
Search data from Ahrefs (on 8/26/26) indicated this could be a high yield area to address, with decent search volume and low keyword difficulty (i.e. competing results) for some keywords like "best ai coding tools" and "best vibe coding tools." Here's a subset of the Ahrefs data:
