How it works

  • Pulls CPR's official full-site feed (https://www.cpr.org/feed/), which is reachable from Val Town and carries real story URLs plus category tags.
  • Filters items down to government/politics by matching the headline or any category tag against a keyword list.
  • Falls back to Google News' site:cpr.org search feed if cpr.org ever blocks serverless egress.
  • Caches for 10 minutes so feed readers don't hammer the upstream.
