Come join us for a fundraiser for Islandwood with bingo and food!
5:30 - 6:30pm: Childcare, Food, Translation Provided.
All families and especially those newer to the school are invited to join us for a panel of 4th and 5th grade parents who will answer questions from the audience. Ever wonder what a Dragon Club is? Who makes the costumes for multicultural night dances? How do I connect with families and learn about events at school?
Keep an eye out for the following events later in the year.
- Curiculum Night — October 28
- Parent Teacher Conferences — November
- Literacy / Dual Language Night — December 10
- Lunar New Year Celebration — February
- Pi Night (Math and Science) — March 13

- Field Day — June 16
The Dearborn International School Parent Teacher Association (PTA), is an opportunity for student families and the broader community to partner with staff to help support our school. The PTA builds community and secures resources for school events and classroom needs. PTA involvement looks like volunteering, coordinating events, fundraising and participating so your family and values are seen and heard at Dearborn. Membership is open to all! When you sign up as a PTA member, your participation benefits your child and our entire school community. Join the PTA and you will grow your school connections and relationships while influencing our school culture so everyone feels a sense of belonging.
Becoming a member also gives you access to Washington State PTA membership discounts.
- Bingo night (Oct 9th): We’re looking for people to help set up, pass out bingo cards, repeat numbers, and more.
- Parent Panel (Oct 16th): We’re looking for parents of 4th and 5th graders to be on the panel and speak about their experience. We also need people to serve food, pick up pizza, etc.
If you see anything you would like to volunteer for, email us! (dearbornparkpta@googlegroups.com).
To volunteer with the school for things like field trips you must first apply to be a volunteer with the school district. This has to be done 2 weeks before volunteering. The PTA can provide financial help to cover the fees for the background check, etc.
