Joining the PTA is a meaningful way to get involved with the school community and help support DPIS students through advocacy, community building, and fundraising.
Membership is open to all people without discrimination: all parents, guardians, community members, teachers, staff, grandparents, students, and anyone that supports the purposes of the PTA.
Becoming a member also gives you access to Washington State PTA membership discounts.
To volunteer at the school, you must first apply to be a volunteer with the school district. This has to be done 2 weeks before volunteering. The PTA can provide financial help to cover the fees for the background check, etc.
There are also lots of opportunities to volunteer with the PTA. Check out the list of things we need help with. If you see anything you would like to volunteer for, email us (dearbornparkpta@googlegroups.com).
