GitHub Repo Stargazers Notification

Tracks new stargazers for your GitHub repositories and sends notifications to Discord when someone stars your repos.

Stores stargazer data in SQLite database with full history

Setup Instructions

1. Create GitHub Personal Access Token

Go to GitHub Settings > Developer settings > Personal access tokens
Click "Generate new token (classic)"
Give it a name like "Val Town Stargazer Tracker"
Select the following scopes:
- public_repo (to read public repository information)
Copy the generated token

2. Set Up Discord Webhook

Go to your Discord server settings
Navigate to "Integrations" > "Webhooks"
Click "Create Webhook"
Choose the channel where you want notifications
Copy the webhook URL

Environment Variables

Set the following on the left sidebar of your val:

GITHUB_TOKEN: Your GitHub personal access token
DISCORD_WEBHOOK: Your Discord webhook URL
