PTO Slack Bot

Sends PTO reminders to Slack from shared Google Calendar.

Setup

1. Pipedream Calendar Connection

Go to pipedream.val.run
Select Google Calendar → List Events
Connect your Google account
Set Calendar ID to your shared PTO calendar
Copy the generated code to googleCalendar.ts

2. Slack Webhook

Go to api.slack.com/apps
Create app → From Scratch → Select workspace
Incoming Webhooks → Toggle ON → Add New Webhook
Select your #ooo channel → Copy webhook URL
Add environment variable: SLACK_WEBHOOK_URL = webhook URL
Set cron schedule: 0 14 * * * (9 AM EST daily)

Testing

Change line 15 in main.tsx to const today = 1 to test Monday messages
Run cron manually to test
