5:00 - 6:00pm: Come learn about Kindergarten at DPIS and the open enrollment process from the principal.
MLK Jr. Day
5:00pm: Our school will open for families and the students will take on the lead to show what they do in their ELA (English Language Arts) and language classes. Part of the evening is for families to see our reading and writing curriculum, play literacy games and check their student’s reading and writing progress. We will also showcase dual language instruction and how our teachers are infusing language through our biliteracy work.
Dragon Clubs Winter Session Starts
10:30am: Please join us and watch our students perform dances for the Lunar New Year. We will then celebrate the Lunar New Year in our evening event on Thursday, February 12th. We will be passing out RSVPs this week so please keep a look out for that.
5:00pm: The celebration will start with a potluck along with a viewing of the student performance from the 10th and there will be a few stations centered around Lunar New Year.
9:00am: Black family brunch
10:00: Assembly

The Dearborn International School Parent Teacher Association (PTA), is an opportunity for student families and the broader community to partner with staff to help support our school. The PTA builds community and secures resources for school events and classroom needs. PTA involvement looks like volunteering, coordinating events, fundraising and participating so your family and values are seen and heard at Dearborn. Membership is open to all! When you sign up as a PTA member, your participation benefits your child and our entire school community. Join the PTA and you will grow your school connections and relationships while influencing our school culture so everyone feels a sense of belonging.

To volunteer with the school for things like field trips you must first apply to be a volunteer with the school district. This has to be done 2 weeks before volunteering. The PTA can provide financial help to cover the fees for the background check, etc.
