Terms of service & SMS messaging policy

Who we are

Signal Node is an AI operations agency in Jacksonville, Florida. We build and operate missed-call recovery, intake, and follow-up systems for contractors. These terms cover your use of signalnode.com and our text-message program. Work we do for a client is governed by that client's own signed agreement, which controls if it conflicts with anything here.

SMS messaging policy

This section is the description of our text-message program, for you and for the carriers.

Program description

Signal Node sends text messages from (904) 746-1401 for two purposes: answering people who ask us to contact them about our services, and running the live demonstration on this site where you text our number and watch the system reply.

\n\n

How you opt in

There are exactly two ways, and both require you to act first:

The callback form on this site. You check a box that reads: \"I agree that Signal Node may call and text me at the number above about my request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time.\" The box is not pre-checked, and the form will not submit without it.
Texting us first. Send START — or any message — to (904) 746-1401. Starting the conversation is the consent.

We do not buy phone numbers, and we do not message a number that has not done one of those two things. Consent to receive messages is never a condition of buying anything from us.

Message frequency

Conversational and infrequent. Most people exchange a handful of messages with us and that is the end of it. This is not a recurring campaign and we do not send scheduled broadcasts.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge for the messages; your carrier's plan governs what they cost you.

\n\n

Opting out

Reply STOP to any message. You will get one final confirmation and nothing after that. Reply HELP for help, or call (904) 746-1401. You can also email hello@signalnode.com.

Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and your device, and we cannot guarantee either.

Privacy

See our privacy policy. In short: we do not sell your information, and we never share your mobile number or your messaging consent with a third party for their marketing.

\n\n

The live demo

The demonstration on this site is a working system, not a recording. When you text it, you are exchanging real messages with software we operate, and those messages are stored and displayed on the demo page. Do not send anything into the demo that you would not want shown on a screen — no account numbers, no medical details, nothing private. The demo is a sales tool, it may be reset or taken down at any time, and it is not a service you are buying.

Buying the audit

The Revenue Leak Audit is $1,500, paid up front through Stripe, and delivered within five business days of our receiving what we need from you — chiefly access to your call log.
Our guarantee: if the loss model we build from your own data does not show at least three times the audit fee in annual recoverable revenue, we refund the fee in full. You keep the audit.
The $1,500 credits in full against a Build Sprint started within 90 days.
If you do not give us the access we need within 30 days of purchase, we will refund you and close it out rather than let it sit.

Build sprints and retainers

These are sold under a separate signed agreement, not through this site. In general: 50% at signing and the balance at go-live for a sprint; monthly in advance for a retainer, six-month minimum, 30 days' written notice to cancel after that. The specifics live in your agreement.

What we don't promise

We build systems that respond to your callers faster than an unanswered phone does. We do not promise a revenue number, a close rate, or a specific number of recovered jobs — anyone who does is guessing with your money. Figures on this site are illustrative, drawn from industry data or from our own modeling, and are labeled as estimates where they appear.

The system depends on services we do not control — carriers, Twilio, your CRM, your calendar provider, the power and internet at your office. We monitor for failures and alert on them; we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service, and our liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before it arose.

Your obligations as a client

You own the phone number and the business it represents, and you are responsible for having the right to message your own customers.
You will not use a system we build to send messages to people who have not consented, to send anything unlawful, or to impersonate another business.
Carrier registration (A2P 10DLC) is filed in your business's name using information you provide. If that information is wrong, the registration gets rejected and the timeline slips.

Your data, and leaving

Your leads and conversations are yours. On request we export them in a usable format, and the phone number is registered to your business, not ours. If you cancel, you take both with you.

\n\n

Intellectual property

The workflows, prompts, templates and tooling we build the system from remain ours, and we reuse them across clients. Your data, your brand, your content and your customer relationships remain yours. The written deliverables of an audit are yours to keep and to use however you like.

\n\n

Governing law

Florida law governs these terms, and Duval County, Florida is the venue for any dispute. Before filing anything, call us — most of what ends up in a dispute is a misunderstanding that a phone call would have settled.

Plain-language summary. We collect what you type into our callback form and what you text us, and we use it to call you back and answer your question. We do not sell your information. What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information.
We do not share mobile phone numbers, or consent to receive text messages, with any third party for that party's own marketing purposes. Consent you give us stays with us.
We do not add you to a newsletter or a drip campaign because you filled in the form. You asked for a call; you get a call.
We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics pixels on this site.

Who processes data on our behalf

We use a small number of vendors to run the business. They process data only to provide their service to us, under their own terms:

Twilio — sends and receives our calls and text messages.
Val Town — hosts this site and the database behind the callback form.
GoDaddy — domain registration and email.
Stripe — processes payment if you buy an audit. We never see or store your card number.
Google Fonts — serves the typefaces this page uses, which means Google receives the request for the font file.

The loss calculator

The calculator on our home page runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter into it is transmitted to us or to anyone else, and nothing about it is stored.

\n\n

How long we keep things

Leads that do not become customers: 24 months, then deleted.
Customer records: for the life of the engagement and 7 years after, for tax and contract reasons.
Text-message consent and opt-out records: kept indefinitely, and not deleted on request. This is the evidence that we had permission to message you, and that we stopped when you told us to. It is a legal record, not a marketing list.
Rate-limiting logs: 30 days.

Your choices

Stop the texts: reply STOP to any message from us. It takes effect immediately and permanently for that number.
Stop the calls: tell us on the call, or email hello@signalnode.com.
See what we hold, or have it deleted: email hello@signalnode.com from the address you gave us, and we will answer within 30 days. The consent record described above is the one exception we cannot delete.

Florida residents have rights under the Florida Digital Bill of Rights, and residents of other states may have comparable rights. We apply the same process to everyone rather than sorting requests by geography.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are rate-limited. Database credentials and API keys are held as encrypted environment variables, never in the site's source. We are a small company: we do not claim to be unbreachable, and if something happened that affected your data we would tell you rather than hope you did not notice.

Children

This is a service sold to contracting businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy we will change the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use information you already gave us, we will contact you directly.
