How Puzzmo uses these

A haptic belongs on a moment that already has a sound. They are the subset of\n audio cues the player caused and would want confirmed in their hand — not a\n second, parallel feedback system. About half of each game’s sounds carry no haptic\n at all, and that is design: a phone buzzing at something the player did not do reads as a\n bug.
When in doubt it is selection. Roughly two-thirds of every cue in\n the catalogue. Circuits ships five haptics in total and they are all\n selection; Pile-Up Poker fires thirty-five. Both are right.
Off iOS the host drops any cue within 30 ms of the last one. So these\n numbers are a budget, not just a feel — a burst finer than that gets thinned on the\n web path, and the three notification patterns are long enough that they cannot stand in\n for a quick tick.
The host fires selection before any game does. The on-screen\n keyboard taps once per key on touch start, and every button on the site fires one on\n click — both typed to accept nothing but selection. A game must not add\n its own in the keyboardKeyPress handler, or the player feels each keystroke\n twice.
Haptics are a user setting, and web is off today. Nothing fires if a player has\n them set to Off. The iOS app routes to the real UIKit generators; everywhere else falls\n back to navigator.vibrate, and that fallback is behind a flag that is\n currently false — so on Android today, nothing buzzes at all.
Really Bad Chess shows the whole vocabulary at once. A capture plays the same\n sound whichever way it goes, and only the haptic says whether it happened to you or for\n you — success for theirs, error for yours.
