Val Town rarely hosts high-sensitivity data, so we\ndon't contort the surface to hide that a private integration exists; we optimize\nfor least-surprise and for matching standalone behavior. This decides every\nsub-question below.\n\n**1. Directory page `/` — conditional visibility.** `/` is reachable\nsession-less **iff at least one integration is flagged public**. A router with\nnothing flagged is fully private and keeps today's behavior exactly: anonymous\nGET `/` → login wall. The new anonymous-`/` surface only switches on once the\noperator has opted something into public. (Dovetails with ticket 3's invariant:\na router with no public surface behaves as it does today.)\n\n**2. Directory listing for anonymous — flagged only, plus a generic teaser.** A\nlogged-out visitor sees only the flagged (public) integrations. Private ones are\nnot listed. When hidden integrations exist, the page shows a generic **\"log in\nto see more\"** affordance — **no count** (the count is marginal for someone\nabout to log in, and \"there are exactly N private tools\" is the one structural\nfact worth not printing). Logged-in users see the full list. Shown only when\nsomething is actually hidden.\n\n**3. Anonymous hits a private (unflagged) integration's URL directly → login\npage (401).** Not a 404. Enumeration isn't a threat we're defending against, and\na login page is exactly what the same integration shows in **standalone** mode\nwhen hit logged-out — matching it is least-surprise. This also fixes the\nlogin-wall location: it's the **single router-owned login page**, served with\n401 at whatever gated URL you hit — not per-integration, not a separate\ndedicated route. Net stance: we don't _advertise_ private integrations (sub-question 2),\nbut we don't _conceal their existence_ from someone who hits the URL either.\nCoherent, given hiding-existence isn't a goal.\n\n**4. We chose this asymmetry —\nover rewriting nothing (strict authoring rule) or rewriting everything (full\nreverse-proxy) — because HTML links have the document base URL as a safety\nnet, so relative links are natural to write, while redirects are generated\nfar from any notion of \"where am I mounted\"; covering `Location` makes the\nubiquitous redirect-after-POST idiom (`c.redirect(\"/?ok=...\")`) work\nunmodified in both routed and standalone modes with zero branching, exactly\nlike nginx's `proxy_redirect`.\n\n## Consequences\n\n- An integration cannot reach the router root or a sibling integration via a\n bare `/...` redirect; it uses `ctx.prefix` or a full absolute URL.
