For the full contract, see the [top-level README](../README.md).\n\n## Walkthrough\n\n**The factory.** Authors export an `(options) => Integration` factory, not a\nbare `Integration`:\n\n```ts\nexport function helloWorld(options: HelloWorldOptions = {}) {\n```\n\nAll configuration lives in the closure (`subject` here), never on the\n`Integration` object. Take an options bag even when you need no config\n(`options = {}`) so the calling convention stays uniform across integrations.\n\n**The contract object.** `defineIntegration` takes the metadata plus a handler:\n\n```ts\nreturn defineIntegration({\n\tname: \"Hello World\",\n\tslug: \"hello\",\n\tdescription: \"…\",\n\trequiredEnv: [\"HELLO_GREETING\"],\n\thandler: (req, ctx) => { … },\n});\n```\n\n- `slug` is where the router mounts you (`/hello/`).
