This is a Sloppy Scramble — both players hit, you pick the best ball, and both players play from there. Standard scramble format applies throughout. Every hole carries a special rule or twist — ignore them at your peril.

The 18 Holes

HOLE1

Breakfast Ball Tax

You may take a breakfast ball — but it will cost you a shot of liquor. The drink must be taken before the second shot is played.

HOLE2

Shortest Drive Sits Out

Whoever hits the shortest drive on their team cannot play the second shot. Your partner takes it solo — no backup ball.

HOLE3

One Player Only

Only one player may hit this hole. The team must decide who before anyone tees off. Choose wisely.

HOLE4

Furthest Ball Is Chosen

The team must play from whichever ball is furthest from the pin. No cherry-picking the good lie. Don't be the furthest.

HOLE5

Roll the Club

Roll a dice before teeing off. 1-2 = Driver. 3-4 = 3 Wood. 5-6 = Any club of your choice. Each player rolls for themselves.

HOLE6

Closest to the Pin Picks

Whoever is closest to the pin gets to nominate someone — anyone — to do a shot of their choosing. Power move.

HOLE7

Green in Reg? Shotgun!

If your team hits the green in regulation and your opponents don't — both opponents shotgun a beer. No exceptions.

HOLE8

One and Done Round Buyer

Hit the green in one and your opponents don't? They are buying a round at the turn. Simple. Beautiful.

HOLE9

Take On the Trees

If you take on the trees and get through, you nominate someone to do a shot of liquor. If they also take on the trees and get through, the shot is neutralised.

HOLE10

Miss the Fairway? Shot Time.

If you don't find the fairway off the tee, you do a shot. The back 9 starts as it means to go on.

HOLE11

Best Scramble Score Rules

Whichever team posts the best scramble score on this hole gets to set the rules for hole 13. Play hard — the power is worth it.

HOLE12

Into the Ditch? Do a Shot.

Find the ditch in front of the green and you are doing a shot. Stay dry or stay sober — your choice.

HOLE13+

TBD - Made on the Tee Box

Rules for holes 13 through 18 are decided live on the tee box. Anything goes. The birthday boys have final say.

The Prize: Winners take home $30 of swag at the pro shop. Spend it wisely. Or unwisely. Either way, you earned it.

First Ball Lost: The first player to lose a ball does a shot. Keep your eyes on that thing.

Winning Team's Revenge: The winning team gets to pick what drinks the losing team must have at the end of the round. Choose wisely (or cruelly).

Early Concession: If the match is decided before 18, teams can be reshuffled by the flip of a tee. New teams. Fresh blood. New chaos.
