Singapore Weekly Digest — fixed design system

Always use template.html as the outer shell. Do not improvise a new visual style week to week.

Visual system

  • Canvas: #F4F1EB
  • Content surface: #FFFDF9
  • Primary ink / dark buttons: #0B1830
  • Accent / primary CTA: #EF3340
  • Accent wash: #FFF0F2
  • Secondary text: #586171 / #7B818A
  • Borders: #E7E2DA / #DDD7CE
  • Max width: 640px
  • Inline CSS only; tables for email-safe layout; no style block, JS, external CSS.

Images

  • Keep the Singapore skyline hero from template.html.
  • Every Top 3 item MUST have a wide relevant image.
  • Standard items should use a 132x118 thumbnail whenever a stable relevant image exists.
  • Prefer official event/venue artwork or OG image, then official promoter/ticketing artwork, then reputable editorial artwork, then a tasteful category fallback.
  • Never use search-result thumbnail URLs, data URIs, expiring signed URLs, social-media hotlinks, or watermarked images.
  • If no stable relevant image is available, omit that thumbnail cleanly instead of using a broken/irrelevant one.

Editorial rules

  • Start with a concise “This week at a glance” paragraph.
  • Top 3 must be genuinely decisive editorial choices, not just biggest brands.
  • Keep commentary to one concise sentence per item.
  • Use compact badges like IMAX, FREE, NEW, ONE-NIGHT, SPLURGE, SELLING NOW.
  • In Movies, lead with the 3 biggest new releases. For confirmed IMAX titles, use a visible IMAX badge and name the cinema/location.
  • Always use direct booking links when a specific page exists.
  • Every item must retain the stable-name Not Interested link.
  • Omit empty sections.
  • 12–20 curated items plus movies; prioritize scanability over exhaustiveness.
